Plain Jane No More
This family’s hall bath was adequate but far from ideal. As the girls’ found the shower cold and drafty, they usually gravitated to the master bath for their showers. Storage was also an issue in this L-shaped bath. Fortunately, borrowing space from the adjacent rumpus room over the garage allowed for a new “wet room” combining a tub and separate shower – an efficient layout where both are desired. Underused space in the home’s eave was converted to built-in storage for bath linens as well as identical medicine cabinets for each of the teens’ toiletries. Glass tile accents, rich espresso finish and glass surround takes this bath from plain-Jane to ideal.
